There are a number of ways that WSA members and supporters can volunteer their time and talents with WSA – please
- Start a new WSA Support Group - Well Spouse's local area support groups and telephone groups are the preferred means of support for Well Spouse members. They are run by WSA Supporting Members who volunteer their time in this position to give back to others. If you don't have an established group in your area, consider forming one. WSA will provide you with resources to get your group off the ground and keep it going. Fill out this registration form to get started.
- Coordinate a WSA Respite Weekend - Do you have a favorite spot that would be good for a Well Spouse respite weekend? Would you like to travel with your Well Spouse friends? Our experienced Respite Weekend Coordinator can help you plan a weekend of respite and support for all of our members - close enough to you, so you can get there. Contact our
- Join the WSA Board of Directors - Our Board is always seeking qualified Board members who can guide WSA in the success of its mission. Contact our
- Host a fundraiser for WSA - Plan and run a fundraising event in honor of your partner, a loved one, or a caregiving friend. Fundraisers help WSA with funding, and they raise awareness of the unique challenges that spousal caregivers face. To host a fundraiser in your local area or to get more information, please contact the WSA Office.
- Write a story for Mainstay newsletters - We are always seeking story submissions from our members for upcoming issues of Mainstay.
- Volunteer with our Social Media team - Help us stay current online and attract new members! We post frequently on our Facebook business page and group, Twitter feed, Reddit sub, and LinkedIn page.
- Write a grant for WSA - WSA applies for grants to help us fund our programs and meet our financial goals. We welcome assistance from people with grant-writing experience.
- Donate or create greeting cards for WSA - The WSA Office sends out many greeting cards to members on different occasions. You or your organization can make homemade cards or donate cards that we can sent to members in need. This is a great thing for youth organizations and schools!
- Become a WSA Ambassador - Help spread the word about the Well Spouse™ Association in your area. WSA Ambassadors contact local newspapers, send out brochures to healthcare professionals, and attend local caregiver events on behalf of Well Spouse Association.
- Become a State Support Contact - State Support Contacts take inbound calls from members and well spouses in need in their state or region.
- Sign up to be a WSA Mentor - Experienced spousal caregivers are a great resource for new well spouses, providing support one-on-one via phone, Zoom, or email.
- Volunteer with the WSA Office - Help WSA with data entry or other office duties and special projects from home.
